[no execute=optin
"Firstly, If you have deleted the partition this guide is not for you.
You can check this by clicking “Start Menu”, right clicking “Computer”, selecting “Manage”. In the new window select “Disc Management” If you have a partition around 8gig – No volume label - and has a status of “Healthy (EISA configuration)” then this guide should work for you.
Secondly I did this personally on Vista, I have no idea XP responds to this method.
Now, download a copy of PTEDIT32, open it up and find the partition that has “TYPE: 27”, failing that the partition that DOESNT have “TYPE: 07” will do. Change the TYPE from 27 (or other number) to TYPE: 07, now restart your computer.
In “Computer” there will now be another partition/harddisk called "PQSERVICE". Open this hardrive and search for file “MBRWRWIN” and “RTMBR.BIN”. Copy (or drag) both of these files to your desktop. Click “Start Menu” and in the textbox at the bottom of this menu type in “run”, In this run window type in “CMD”. Now you will have a command prompt in front of you. Here you should be able to type “CD Desktop” . your CMD line should now read “C:\Users\[Your username]\Desktop”.
Now type “MBRWRWIN install RTMBR.BIN” and you should see some information verifying this is succesful. If it states the command has failed. Close the command prompt and simply drag RTMBR.BIN onto MBRWRWIN (maybe the other way round). You will see the previous command box pop up then disappear just as fast.
This has now fixed the ALT+F10 function. So restarting your pc and hitting ALT+F10 repeatedly will bring you to the reinstallation wizard."
1. Restore system from factory default
2. Restore system from user;s backup
3. Exit
Problem:
Hvala!
