Front-End Developer
BasePic is seeking for an experienced Front-End Developer to help expand our online and mobile presence.
The ideal candidate will work as part of our marketing team and will be responsible for leading projects that inovate our company's website www.basepic.com
and various marketing initiatives. This candidate must have a proven track record building websites and content using technologies such as PHP, HTML, CSS, AJAX and JavaScript.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced start-up environment.
Responsibilities:
Front-end development of basepic.com
Take wireframes/mockups and turn them into standards compliant HTML/CSS
Design leadership and collaboration
Desired Skills and Requirements
- 3+ years experience with XHTML, CSS, Javascript in a full-time position
- Highly-experienced with PHP, MYSQL, Oracle, PostgresQL
- Strong knowledge of compatibility and cross-browser issues
- Experience implementing modern website design best practices
- Experience taking wireframes/mockups/photoshop designs and turning them into standards compliant HTML/CSS, as well as working knowledge of Photoshop in a web production environment
- History of working with high volume trafficked websites
- Web performance optimization
- User Testing experience and/or familiarity with website analytics and optimization tools including Google Analytics
- Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress & Joomla
- An impressive portfolio of projects
Bonus Skills:
- Graphic design or other involvement in the visual arts
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Mobile development
- Familiarity with modern SEO/SEM
