Database Developer Job Description
This associate must provide expert database development, administration and implementation skills using primarily the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, maintain databases, procedures, ad hoc queries, reports, tools
Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and DTS/SSIS packages, scrub, cleanse, modify data
Optimize and tune SQL statements and databases
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
Perform database management tasks including database infrastructure design, automation of data loads, performance tuning, SQL programming, data manipulation, massage and cleansing.
Support internal clients by creating data-driven applications and ad hoc queries.
Define, test, and execute data validation routines
Perform application program enhancements, troubleshooting and bug fixes as required.
Skills / Attributes Required
Thorough knowledge of TSQL and SQL Server 2008 tools and utilities.
Experience in Database Administration.
Understanding of Enterprise Level SQL Server features(Clustering, Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, etc.)
Solid understanding of the logical and physical database modeling and design concepts.
In depth knowledge writing and tuning SQL Server stored procedures/functions/views
Experience of working in a team of developers and DBAs.
Proficient knowledge of English.

Independence in problem resolution and ability to quickly master complex systems.
Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of competences.
Team work ability.
High level communication skills.
