Job Description:
DBA tasks:
- Physical database design
- Creating development, testing and production environments - installation and maintenance
- Troubleshooting queries from the application code
- Database backup and recovery
- Performance monitoring and tuning (database configuration parameters and SQL tuning)
- Implementing Database (software) upgrades
Development:
- Database development (stored code)
- Application development with Forms and Reports 6i/10g
- Reports development with Oracle Discoverer
- Tables and other database objects design and implementation
Design & Analysis:
- Logical database design (ERD)
- Technical support to bid teams
- Analyzing end-user requirements and converting them into functional specifications
- Problem solving skills
Skills:
- Oracle database 8i, 9i, 10g
- DB2 UDB v8, 9
- Oracle RMAN
- Oracle Forms and Reports 6i/10g
- Oracle Discoverer
- Toad
- Windows OS
- UNIX desirable
- Crystal Reports
- Knowledge of SQL Server
