Battery Information (dbsd-battinfo)
o
Displays battery life status and notifies you when it is low.

Hardware Notifications (dbsd-hwnotify)
o
Displays notifications, for example when hardware is attached or detached. This tool uses DCOP to get events from FreeBSD’s devd and requires modifications to /etc/devd.conf. Please have a look at the devd.conf file used in DesktopBSD (download using the “Original Format” link at the bottom of the page).

Network Tray (dbsd-nettray)
o
Displays network state changes (link up/down, IP address changed).

Tray Mounter (dbsd-traymounter)
o
Enables you to mount and unmount partitions by right-clicking on the icon and clicking the partition to mount/unmount. A /media directory as root directory for mount directories is required. Your user needs read/write access to /media and the disk devices (ad, da, acd etc.) in /dev for this to work: mkdir -m 1775 /media
To automatically start the tools with KDE, create application links in your user’s autostart folder (~/.kde/Autostart, in Konqueror: Go → Autostart). You can find examples for these files here.

Can be used to create and delete partitions. Formatting UFS2 and FAT partitions is supported.
