1 The evaluation edition is not time limited. It does install to the hard disk.
2 The downloadable CDs contain only 32-bit packages - the same (no more no less) packages as in the downloadable 32-bit DVD.
3 There is a 64-bit DVD available with the same packages as the 32-bit DVD. But both these downloadable DVDs have a reduced package selection (
http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/16076.html) compared to the retail DVD, because the retail DVD is double-layer and can hold more data.
4 The LiveDVD runs from the DVD and is not installable.
5 OSS = Open Source Software only. No Adobe Reader, Macromedia Flash Player etc. You can of course install such non-OSS separately from FTP or downloads. Check the complete list here (

Za pomoc pri izboru distribucije preporucujem
www.distrowatch.com i (vidi PP). Nazalost, sada su se Linux distribucije vec toliko razvile, tako da su za pocetnika prilicno razlicite. Neke su maksimalno "korisnicki prijateljske" u smislu instalacije i kasnijeg podesavanja nekih stvari, kod drugih je naglasak na pouzdanosti, pa korisnik mnoge stvari rucno podesava, jer tako ima maksimalnu kontrolu i slicno.
Naravno, iskusnijim korisnicima je "sve isto" ali pocetnicima je sve to problem. Jednostavan primer - winmodemi: kod nekih distribucija je podrska integrisana za neke modele winmodema i to radi odmah, bez i najmanjeg napora, kod drugih treba instalirati drajver, sto cesto podrazumeva prilicno rada, eventualno skidanje dodatnih paketa i slicno.
Na svetu postoje samo 2 OS-a: 1. Mint, 2. svi ostali!
