Ubuntu Restricted Extras mogu da se instaliraju i direktno u Ubuntu Software Center-u.
A dobro bi bilo da instaliraš Synaptic Package Manager na istom mestu jer se Software Sources nalaze u Synaptic-u
Treba da bude podešeno kao na prikazanoj slici.
Synaptic Package Manager može da se instalira i kroz terminal komandom :
Komandu kopirati i zalepiti u terminal i kliknuti Enter
A dobro bi bilo da instaliraš Synaptic Package Manager na istom mestu jer se Software Sources nalaze u Synaptic-u
Treba da bude podešeno kao na prikazanoj slici.
Synaptic Package Manager može da se instalira i kroz terminal komandom :

Otvori Ubuntu Software Center, u meniju ides na Edit, zadnja linija je Software Sources, klik na to.
Prvi tab, stikliraj Software restricted by copyright or legal issues(multiverse).
A mozes i ostala 3 da kliknes takodje.
A mogao bi i da proveris u istom prozoru da li ti je podeseno da skida update sa glavnog servera.
Download from - Main server.
Onda u Ubuntu software center, u search otkucaj npr. codec, pa instaliraj Ubuntu restricted extras paket.

Ovo obavezno!
Sve bezuspesne instalacije su resavane prelaskom na Main server! Tako da (vec iz navike) odmah nakon instalacije Ubuntu prvo sto uradim je promena servera!
Do Software Sources može da se dođe i u Update Manager-u preko opcije Settings
