Guadalinex Guadalinex is a Linux distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux and developed by the government of Andalucía (Junta de Andalucía) in Spain. When the final version is released, the project intends to deliver 100,000 CDs containing Guadalinex 1.0 to schools and public offices. These will be distributed in local newspapers and magazines and the project expects to have around two million users within the next year and a half. The 5th release candidate of Guadalinex 1.0 was released yesterday, this is the full announcement (in Spanish). Download: guadalinex-1.0rc5.iso (592MB). The ISO image also serves as a bootable live CD.
Interesantna stvar kad se vlada neke pokrajine toliko zauzme da razvije i promovise Linux distribuciju. Prilicno sam zbunjen jer jos uvek postoje podsmesljiva misljenja i odnos prema Linuxu a vlada pokrajine Andaluzije je ipak nesto, cak i za mene Balkanca....
