Citat:
Fonts in PDF are low resolution on screen (fuzzy)
If the PostScript version of your manuscript was converted from the TeX typesetting language and your text does not appear clear and sharp when you view your PDF, it is likely that your system uses fixed-resolution bitmap fonts that do not display well on a computer screen. However, if you print the PDF version of your manuscript during your review, you will observe that it prints with clear text. For information on how to increase on-screen font resolution by incorporating PostScript Type 1 fonts into your PostScript file, please see the following section of Ken Hanson's style files website: DVI to PS - Paper size and PostScript fonts.
If you are not a LaTeX user and the fonts in your SPIE-produced PDF appear fuzzy, you will need to change the advanced fonts settings in your PostScript printer driver so that bitmap fonts are not substituted during conversion to PostScript. Three settings generally recommended to improve the quality of PostScript output are:
1) Under PostScript Options, change Output to "Optimize for Portability."
2) Under PostScript Options, change True Type Download Option to "Native True Type."
3) Change True Type Font to "Download as Softfont."
Zna li neko nesto o tome?
