Hihihi, prljava borba izmedju Microsoft-a i EU birokrata pocinje - naravno, preko ledja potrosaca :-)

Dobra vest je da ce do kraja godine "Windows 7 E" biti dostupan po cenama upgrade-a u ostalim zemljama.

Losa vest je da "Windows 7 E" nece apgrejdovati ni jedan stari OS i, vrlo verovatno, ce pocetkom sledece godine kostati koliko i "obican" Windows.

Tako da, zahvaljujuci pohlepnim EU birokratama i dr*adzijama iz Opere ce gradjani EU dobijati manje za iste pare od ostalih od 1.1.2010 ali ce, eto, imati kratak period da kupe "Win 7 E" po ceni upgrade-a.

Ako je to "more consumer choice" iliti ultimativni razlog zasto EU komisija vodi bitku sa MSFT-om... onda sam ja crvenkapa.

Jel bi i to moglo da se nazove "preferred remedy for Europe"

I zasto bas ova 4 browsera, sto ne i Lynx, Konqueror i jos XYZ browsera - nije lepo da ogranicavate consumer choice.

Wow... a jel softver fizički ograničen sa veličinom, oblikom i dizajnom... nije. Ako neki tamo haker može da ti da taj izbor u npr. LastXP zar ne mogu Microsoftovi developeri?

Jup rat između EU i MSFT je počeo. Sakrivaj se ko može. Ili nabavljaj tzv. "narodske verzije".

Mislim da tehnički jesmo (kao kontinent i tržište).

Za nas su i ovako narodne verzije.

Tehnički sam se samo šalio (naravno), a što se tiče upgrade instalacije Vista > Win7, ako ikako postoji mogućnost bolje je uraditi novu instalaciju "od nule"...

Ove gluposti se odnose samo na zemlje koje pripadaju Evropskoj uniji.

U Srbiji će se prodavati neosakaćene verzije softvera, baš kao i u ostatku sveta.

hajde sad lepo "peticija" za alternativni calculator i paint i notepad,pa mangupi jedni,kako smeju da drze monopol na tome,a tek process viewer,ccc

To je samo vrlo osakaćena lista nelegalnih monopola stečenih preko monopola Windows-a. Zaboravio si na tekst procesore (WordPad), ostale segmente multimedije (sound recorder), šahovski softver (Chess Titans), kartaške igre (FreeCell, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Hearts) i da ne nabrajam dalje.

Umesto lepo da isporuče kernel sa PDF-om "Windows From Scratch" (po uzoru na http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/), pa sam svoj majstor. Nema šta da ti neko monopoliše ostale segmente preko kernela. Grafika se lepo realizuje preko W servera po ugledu na X server, pa lepo ljudi prave svako svoj menadžer prozora, okruženje, pa imaš lepo i tu konkurenciju i milina jedna.

Uostalom, ko kaže da je kernel jedan segmet. Ima tu podrške za datotečni sistem, pa upravljanje memorijom, pa da ne nabrajam dalje. Ihaj, ima tu segmenata i segmenata. Idealno za "sam svoj majstor" projekat.

Nije bitno koji su zaključci izvučeni, već kako se do njih došlo.

Celu frku je izgleda zamesio BBC namerno izostavljajuci bitnu informaciju da pomenuti Upgrade nece biti ponudjen evropskom trzistu 22.10.2009 (sto ne znaci i da ga uopste nece biti, ali nesto kasnije...)

"We will provide more details on future plans when they are available, but we are committed to making sure that existing Windows customers in Europe continue to have a choice of 'Upgrade pricing' options available in the rest of the world." UPDATE Late Friday evening, the spokesperson offered a clarification, stating that this sentence referred to the company's intent to offer pre-order deals, such as those first offered to US customers on Friday.

That may be especially difficult now that US customers who buy HP or Lenovo PCs with Vista pre-installed, from today forward, will be eligible for free Windows 7 upgrades. The North American editions of the product will not include the option to leave IE uninstalled.
