POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for content and component deployment (internet and intranet) for one major website or two to three small websites; troubleshooting a wide range of moderate to difficult website problems; establishing database connectivity; assisting Developers with IIS issues; SSL maintenance and web log management. This position also assists other members of the IST department in internet/intranet-related work plans and system design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Creates, publishes and updates ---- websites. This includes managing the flow from development to integrated test to staging to production of the following: Service Pack, hot fixes, security updates and developer updates to ------- proprietary code.
2. Tests by executing the updated application to ensure changes are functionally correct for application code and ensure items implemented do not break pre-existing functionality.
3. Monitors the -------- websites using NetIQ, Microsoft Health Monitor and proprietary software. Ensure that there is no degradation of the systems due to load, capacity or other variables that could affect the website.
4. Provides technical support in the areas of IIS, website security, content management and deployment to Developers, Business Analysts, E-business Testers and most importantly, Consultants. Incumbent is on call 24x7. It is vital to the success of the E-business team that the incumbent gives timely, prompt and accurate service to customers.
5. Maintains effective documentation of systems and user procedures to ensure efficient use of the system.
6. Assigned to short-term small projects or tasks of a limited scope where responsibility for work is shared.
7. Recommends project direction and defines standard processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Job requires a college degree or equivalent in a technical area plus 5-8 years of networking , web deployment, web management and administration experience maintaining a medium to large sized company’s computer systems.
2. A working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 operating system is required, as well as technical and functional knowledge of computer hardware. Must have a working knowledge of network design, TCP/IP, database usage and ASP coding.
3. Must have a working knowledge of ----------------- website design and content deployment process.
4. Must have oral communication skills necessary to assist users and work effectively in a team environment with Webmaster Team Leader and Webmaster Team members. Good written communication skills are also required to provide detailed written documentation.
