Background
This is a short-term appointmet.
Tasks and Responsibilities
1. As a member of the Helpdesk Team, acts as a focal point of contact (via telephone and e-mail) for all user-related issues in conjunction with IT equipment;
2. Determines basic nature of reported problems and resolves them;
3. Responds to requests for assistance from users in a pleasant and professional manner and inputs the calls into a database. Maintains accurate log entries of requests with fault details and solutions. If necessary, searches documentation and previous requests for assistance on related topics to find a solution in the most effective way. Visits staff offices for verification and solving of problems;
4. Introduces new staff members to the system by explaining basics of the Information system in place and introducing the existing policies and procedures;
5. Tests new software and hardware products prior to installation for users. Configures and installs new computers and networks in the LAN environment and redistributes existing equipment;
6. Carries out necessary cabling and patching in wiring racks. Installs computer hardware, LAN components, performs upgrades and minor repairs of workstations, notebooks and printers;
7. Assist users in restoring of documents from backups and archives. Assists, advises and trains staff members in using all installed PC applications;
8. Performs other duties as required.
Necessary Qualifications
• Serbia citizenship;
• Secondary school education, supplemented by training and course studies in related area;
• Minimum 4 years of experience in same or similar post within an international organization;
• Fluency in English and Serbian, both written and oral. Good technical writing and reporting skills;
• Able to act and operate in a highly stressful environment;
• Good knowledge of Network operating systems and networking protocols;
• Excellent knowledge of PC hardware;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
• Excellent knowledge of LAN cabling standards;
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Antivirus solutions and network security.
Remuneration Package
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is EUR 884.17 Social benefits will include participation in the Vanbreda medical insurance.
