Linux System Administrator - Beograd

On behalf of our client, an international company, we are looking for an experienced IT professional to fill in the following position:
Linux System Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Operate production, testing and staging environments in software development process
o Install and configure Linux server operating systems, application software and related infrastructure
o Define security update policy and maintain environments up-to date
o Design, implement, test and document infrastructure components, services and enhancements to improve systems security and reduce vulnerabilities
o Configure Application and System health and performance monitoring with emphasis on security
o Configure high-availability and redundancy (fail-over, load balancing etc)
o Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
o Respond to system outages, troubleshoot problems (both hardware andsoftware)
o Support development team in configuring and maintaining build and releaseautomationInstall, configure, operate and maintain LAN and WAN hardware and software and related infrastructure
• Document the configuration of all systems
• Integral part of the software development team
Required qualifications:
• Excellent and deep knowledge of Linux
• Professional experience as Linux System Administrator preferably in managing High Availability production systems
• Prior experience with automated Linux patching, intrusion detection systems, security scan and redundancy configuratio
• Experience with configuration of monitoring systems
• Knowledge of one of scripting languages like Ruby, Python or Perl
• Experience and knowledge of Java EE application servers and MySQL database server would be considered as an advantage
• Good knowledge of Networking, TCP/IP and configuration of network devices
• Familiarity with Windows administration would be a nice asset
