San Francisco - based vertical search engine startup Vast.com (www.vast.com) is seeking:
Software Engineer / Platform Engineering
to join the Core Platform Engineering team in our Belgrade office.
Job description:
* You will be joining the engineering team, in charge of Vast Platform development, covering areas of Large-Scale Data Processing, Analysis and Vertical Search
Required:
* BSc / MS degree (ETF/PMF), or equivalent experience
* Strong Computer Science background (algorithms, data structures, software design)
* Experience in developing large-scale Java server applications
* Experience in development on Unix / Linux platform, knowledge of scripting languages (Scala / Ruby / Python)
* Ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in development of distributed algorithms for large - scale data processing (machine learning background is a plus)
* Experience in development on Apache Search / Data Processing open source stack (Hadoop, Mahout, Lucene)
