Senior Developer / Site Production

We’re a fast growing startup web development & ad agency based in Brooklyn, NY. We work with a number of influential high end retail, fashion, home furnishing, and decor companies from all around the country and are rapidly expanding our market presence.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have strong programming background and experience with the Magento web services content management system, experience working with sophisticated web development projects including large scale E-commerce web sites, and management experience with a team of programmers and designers. Experience working with outsourced providers is also a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Translating our client’s business and functional requirements into technical specifications for our developers
Supervise and guide our internal and overseas development teams
Add and design new extensions to our Magento content management system
Design new solutions including mobile and tablet applications
Work closely with our information architect to translate wireframes and functional specifications into state of the art working web sites
Troubleshoot all technical issues relating to clients’ web sites as well as our company’s technology needs.
Comfortable handling aggressive deadlines and multi tasking, and loves taking on new challenges.

Requirements:
Experienced with Magento CMS
Experience managing web infrastructure (apache, tomcat, mysql, etc.)
Experience working with API based solutions
Experience working and managing 3rd party development resources
Proven credentials working on complex projects
Strong overall programming background (PHP, CSS, HTML, JQUERY, JAVA, C/C++, C Sharp, enterprise level shopping cart experience all beneficial)
Proven ability to manage several mid-sized to large projects simultaneously
Excellent comm. skills (verbal/written)
Ability to create detailed proposals
Ability to multi-task, taking on both projects and day-to-day support issues/requests.
