LimoRes is looking for Web Developers
LimoRes is a platform for ground transportation services. With already established service in more than 5,000 airports around the world, it provides more coverage than any other company in the industry. Headquartered in New York City, LimoRes is revolutionizing ground transportation, with its sophisticated proprietary software and back end infrastructure.
LimoRes IT department that handles all development is stationed in Serbian office. We are now establishing a new department for fast prototyping and development of new era web applications on top of LimoRes platform. We are looking for the following two positions:
1) Web Backend Developer (PHP / Python)
2) Web Frontend Developer
It's essential that candidates understand software development best practices and have knowledge of OO programming concepts and common design patterns.
Selected candidates will be a part of the core team for development of several new products coming to market. Offered positions present a career opportunity for anyone who "wants in" at the ground level of innovation.
Required Skills:
* A minimum of 2 years of related experience
* Fast learner, able to pick up new ideas and approaches quickly
* Experience with Java is a plus
* Experience working within Agile development environments (Scrum or XP) is a plus
Web Backend Developer Required Skills:
* Excellent knowledge of one of the major web scripting languages (PHP, Python, Ruby)
* Understanding of inner-works of at least one of existing web frameworks (Django, CakePHP, Ruby on Rails,...)
* Good knowledge of SQL
* Previous work on mashup type projects is a plus, specially work on integration with popular social networking platforms (Facebook, Twitter)
* Developed habit of using bug/issue tracking tools and VCS in development
Web Frontend Developer Required Skills:
* Knowledge of popular JavaScript libraries (jQuery, ExtJS etc.) but also an ability to solve problems without use of existing libraries
* Proficiency in following software concepts, packages, programming languages and tools: Object Oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT and AJAX
* Understanding of modern usability concepts
* Some experience with web analytics tools, A/B testing practice
