One of the leading banks in this region is looking for MS SQL Server Database Administrator to join its Belgrade headquarters.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in related training programs and to use best of breed technologies in areas of design, implementation and maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, logging, reporting and recovery procedures.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
• Responsible for all functions associated with the design, implementation and maintenance of SQL Server databases.
• Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
• Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users.
• Installing and testing new versions of the DBMS.
• Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).
• Controlling access permissions and privileges.
• Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans.
• Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.

You have:
• University degree in Computer Science or related fields (ETF, FON).
• At least 2 years of experience in database development and support in MS SQL Server environments including use of Query Analyzer, stored procedures, DTS, Jobs and Profiler.
• Strong experience in Database Administration in SQL Server.
• Knowledge of SQL Server tools ( Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs).
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory,I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
You may have as a plus:
• Highly desirable current certifications: MCDBA
• Knowledge of 3rd party DBA tools and applications (e.g. Quest, Redgate, Idera, SCOM, Erwin,...)
• Familiarity with Oracle or other RDBMS
• Experience in a scripting language like Powershell, VBScript, WSH
• Experience creating and maintaining an extraction, transformation, and loading process from source systems or files into a data warehouse
