We have experience in all phases of the engineering and software development processes- from Design, Development and CAD input early in the engineering process to complete engineering Documentation. We are proficient in CATIA, Pro-Engineer design and analysis software.
Our client high technology Logistics contractor requires an experienced SAP Administrator/Consultant.
You will also be required to regularly review and report on SAP technologies and their relevance to systems and ensure the Technical Applications team skills are kept up to date to ensure high standards for extended support coverage of core Tarmac systems, particularly focussed on SAP systems.
Scope of the role
• Ensure the availability and performance of all IT supported applications through effective incident, problem and capacity management processes
• Ensure all IT supported applications remain within support of software provider by effective strategy planning for the installation of patch and version upgrades
• To be technical lead to ensure the successful delivery of business led projects
• To manage technical application projects, leveraging the capabilities of 3rd party suppliers.
• To act as the solution architect for technical applications aspects of all projects ensuring that the appropriate solution, conforming to strategy, is adopted.
• Ensure all projects are delivered into BAU support with all the correct documentation in place to deliver a successful handover
• Work closely with functional applications, risk and security, infrastructure technology and new technologies teams to ensure the successful operation of the IT function
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have the following attributes
• SAP BASIS experience
• SAP SD/MM experience
• Experience of managing and supporting database and server operating systems, preferably Oracle and AIX
• Knowledge of SAP tools including Business Objects, BW Accelerator, TDMS, Solution Manager and SAP PI
• Work in a methodical and structured manner
• Be proactive in all lines of work and be aware of escalation procedures
