http://www.heavyred.com/ (looking at the content!) with PR5 is not number one, if PR really affects the rank. Nobody from Google actually stated PR affects SERPS (but they did say Google has probationary period for new sites aka sandbox)... So I will not bother with link excanges (link exchanges are deleted by Google, and they don't count). I didn't say number of incoming one-way links do not count, but PR I don't see how counts... (and it's not the same, maybe google uses different algorhytm for both?). Now I will try to find best PR site of those listed for 'gothic fashion' query... Here it is on position 20 with PR6
http://www.gothic.net/ as #8 ranked site is just doorway page. There are PR3 sites above it in SERPs. You can make me change my mind if you find not one, but most queries in Google to order pages by PR, as simple as that.
