Job Description:
As a software developer, you are responsible for the development and maintenance of our web based systems. In the position you will be required to work both independently and also be part of a team. You are an excellent communicator and have a can-do attitude. Due to the strong growth of our business we are looking for software developers to join our Amsterdam based IT-team. The position is open to worldwide applicants; you must be willing to relocate to the Netherlands and we will assist you with obtaining a work/residence for you and your partner/dependents.

Key Responsibilities:
• You design and develop with colleagues new generation, secure, scalable and high performance web based systems.
• Lead projects; coach and train new developers
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to schedule your technical priorities
• Answer questions regarding our current systems
• Solve problems and issues
• Act as an intermediary for complaints and problems

Required Skills:
• Pragmatic, independent and pro-active work attitude
• Good communication skills
• Wide demonstrable experience with Object Oriented Programming
• Experience with relational databases (preferably MySQL)
• Experience with Linux and Web Development
• Minimum 4 years of experience with software development preferably in 1 or more of the following languages: PHP, Java, Python, Perl, C/C++, and/or Ruby
• Preferably University level in Math or IT
• Currently living in the Netherlands or prepared to relocate to the Netherlands

While the position involves Perl as the main programming language - candidates with experience in other languages are strongly encouraged to apply. Prvi korak je telefonski intervju u trajanju od 30 minuta sa dvojicom developera - pitanja su dovoljno opsta/jednostavna da se mogu odgovoriti preko telefona - ne traze se striktne definicije vec uopsteno/prakticno (pseudo kod) objasnjenje - npr. "Imate niz brojeva od kojih su neki elementi isti, kako bi izbrojali broj jedinstvenih clanova?" ... Pored programiranja, pitanja ce biti i o bazama podataka i radu sa njima.

U roku od nekoliko dana bicete obavesteni o rezultatu - i ukoliko je pozitivan, bicete pozvani na face-2-face intervju.

Radi se u malim timovima, 3 do 6 ljudi, sa Team Lead koji je takodje developer - nema preteranog menadzmenta. Nema velikih projekata koji traju nedeljama/mesecima - vec se sve radi u malim koracima kroz konstantan feedback od krajnih korisnika. Svakoga dana se uradi kratak sastanak "Standup" sa svim clanovima tima kojem prisustvuje i jedna ili vise osoba iz biznisa ("Project Owner") sa kojim se prodje kroz stvari na kojima se radilo prethodnog dana i treba raditi taj dan. Tehnicki "Scrum" ali za razliku od njega gde se radi sprint i zatim release svakih par nedelja - ovde se radi i po nekoliko relese/rollout u toku dana/nedelje u zavisnosti od tima.

• Firma sredjuje radnu vizu za vas i vaseg partnera/decu koji takodje mogu da rade sa tom vizom - pod partner se podrazumeva i nevencani partner.
• Kao pomoc postoji "paket za preselenje" (povratne karte + troskovi transporta stvari + apartman za prve 2 nedelje + novac dovoljan za 2 - 3 meseca stanarine).
• Engleski je dovoljan (nisu potrebni nikakve diplome/sertifikati) - Holandski vam absolutno nije neophodan za svakodnevni zivot.
• Diploma visa/visoka/fax je pozeljna - ali nije neophodna, cak ni za "Dutch 30% Rule" koji odobrava poreska uprava.
• Prvi ugovor je na 1 godinu sa probnim radom od 1 meseca (zato se dobijaju povratne karte).
• Godisnje 25 dana odmora - 13. plata je standardno - 14-ta plata je company bonus (u 4 dela svaka 3 meseca) koji se uglavnom dobija u zavisnosti od vasih rezultata.
• Ostale detalje sta/kako/gde, od papirologije u Srbiji, do specificnosti oko zdravstvenog osiguranja i u kojim delovima grada su povoljni stanovi ... ako dodjemo do toga.
