Frontend Developer (Ruby on Rails) - Germany - Munich
For our client, who is operating one of the leading social media platforms in Germany from Munich, we are looking for a motivated candidate to join their team and realize extraordinary projects, for the following position:
FRONTEND DEVELOPER (RUBY ON RAILS)
Tasks:
• Work on the implementation of new platform additions
• Create the most intuitive and user-friendly frontends for the internal and external applications
• Drive projects end-to-end, collaborate on product definitions, design architecture, implement the technical solution and assure its functionality
• With fresh ideas and only the best in maintenance you’ll show your love for the existing code base
• You will be as valuable an asset for operative business as for new projects during the recurring “innovation weeks”
Requirements:
• University degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
• Minimum 3 years of development experience
• Good experience with JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Knowledge of jQuery, QUnit, Jasmine and your unit testing expertise
• SaaS and Git are quite helpful
• Ruby on Rails and tools like View, Helper and the Asset Pipeline are on your roadmap, as well
• Every now and then you love to write a few lines of Ruby
• Agile and lean development via Scrum or Kanban
• Experience in HAML, responsive/adaptive design and frontend performance analysis is a big plus
• Experience with open source projects is a plus
• Fluency in English
