SENIOR JAVA Developer for Mathematically and Financially Involved Assignments
Position:
Allied Testing Serbia is seeking an experienced Java developer with a solid math background. The job will require mathematically and financially involved assignments (Financial Modeling department), in a distributed international environment. You are not expected to be a scientist, but to have a master degree in math or physics to join our team. Closely working with both local and remote teams, you will have to learn existing large proprietary (customer) framework and existing product source-code, comply with established design, development and coding guidelines, communicate in English with other parts of the team and management abroad on a daily basis.
Skills required:
• Java programming experience
• 5 or more years of enterprise programming experience, mostly in Java (academic activities do not count)
• Strong math background and solid knowledge of Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics
• Experience with relation databases, preferably with PostgreSQL
• Good communication skills, ability and readiness to work in a team, as well as being quality-oriented, user-focused, and committed to meeting deadlines
Optional requirements (assets):
• Experience with the software for technical computing and statistical analysis (Matlab, SPSS, Mathematica, Maple)
• Basic understanding of financial markets and instruments
