Formatirao sam C particiju na kojoj je bio instaliran Win XP i ponovo stavio isti XP. Na D particiji imam Win 7. Pri podizanju sistema mogao sam po potrebi birati podizanje Win XP ili Win 7. Sada nakon formatiranja C particije automatski se podize Win XP bez mogucnosti izbora OS-a kao prije. Postoji li nesto kako bih ponovo mogao po zelji pokretati OS?

Pošto Windows 7 koristi BCD (Boot Configuration Data), jedini način je bcdedit iz Windows 7, kako je sada Win7 nedostupan onda može da proba pomoćni program EasyBCD 1.7.2

D je na istom disku ili drugi disk

Win 7 je ostao instaliran kada si formatirao c ili je instaliran posle xp-a,

Nikad mi ne bi palo na pamet da na isti hard instaliram dva OS-a, u ovom slučaju bi možda pomogao jedan bootrec a u svakom slučaju ne košta da se proba. Neki boot manager iz treće ruke takođe završava posao.

Postoji i opcija da se sistem butuje sa instalacionog DVD-a za Windows 7, pa da se uradi sledeća procedura:

bcdboot d:\windows /s d:

The "d:" specifies the target partition where boot files are copied. My first try was with the target partition "c:" but this didn't work as "d:" was the current boot partition.

This got Windows 7 booting OK, but then I needed to add XP back into the boot options. From a command prompt (run as administrator) in Windows 7...

bcdedit /create {ntldr} /d "Windows XP"
bcdedit /set {ntldr} device partition=C:
bcdedit /set {ntldr} path \ntldr
bcdedit /displayorder {ntldr} /addlast

XP was was now showing in my list of boot entries. The final step was to copy the boot files "ntdetect.com" and "ntldr" into the C:\ root directory if necessery.
