Evo i da se ne mucis....

this post is for beginners. it contains the method of upgrading the Premiumx reciever. Many people dont know how to upgrade the STB , so this post will help them.

First of all the things u need:

1- A 232 cable which can be bought in market for about $2-$4. or u can also make it urself. (u can ask me how to make it)
2- "updown v 1.2" which is the software for loading firmware to the reciever. u can get it from www.luxsat.be or www.zotos.biz
3- Latest firmware for the reciever which is the actual software that is uploaded to the reciever. the latest version can also be downloaded from the above mentioned websites. plz make sure that u download the firmware that matches ur stb(reciever) otherwise...

first of all contect ur stb to the pc through 232 cable. then run the updown v1.2 programe. now click conect to have the reciever conected to the pc. click send button , in the opening dialouge box go to the folder containing the firmware and select it. a menu will appear asking u to restart the reciever. just plug out the power supply and then immediatly plug in the power supply. an "OK" button will appear on the screen just wait 3 seconds and click on "OK" button. the installation will start.
Installation will be completed when "Comleted" menu appears. just click ok , reciever will restart automatically and disconect ur reciever from ur pc. its all done. ... congrates!

WARNING: Make sure not to turn off or plugout the power suply while installtion is started or u will harm ur stb.

Hvala PPZ,probaću ponovo.Sve sam isto uradio,jedino da pokušam off/on da uradim što brže.Javiću rezultat...

Isprobano,nece pa nece.Krene sve sa ubacivanjem prikaze poruku Un-Plug and Plug-in the power cord of your Receiver.Iskljucivao sam ga nebrojeno puta,probao da to radim vrlo brzo,sporije,sa stendbaja,kad je upaljen.Nista,ni makac.Ostane na displeju wait i stoji tako.Probao sam i skidanje svega s risivera i jedino na opciji P2 pocne ucitavanje i dodje do 40%.Ostalo-nula.Koristim nulmodem kabl 9 pinova,program STB UpDown 1.21 sve kako je preporuceno.Ipak rezultata nema.

Mozda kabl nije null modem, nego obican rs232? jesi li probao sa obicnim kablom?

Taj kabl je DB9 zenski na oba kraja i spojeni su svih 9 pinova a ukrsteni su 2 i 3 i provjereno je ispravan,nulmodem je i koristio sam ga nebrojeno puta na drugim risiverima.Obicni rs232 je serijski "pin na pin" i jedan kraj je muski.
Mislim da je glavni problem u proceduri.Kad dodje do sekvence gdje treba risiver off/on treba tacno znati kolika je pauza kao i pauza poslije ponovnog ukljucenja risivera.Djeluje glupo,ali sam nailazio na slicne gluposti vec.Ako to ne bude,onda nije u redu nesto s risiverom.
Uredjaj nije vise kod mene ali postoji mogucnost da ga opet probam.Ako uspijem(do sada sam resavao slicne probleme) napisacu ovdje da bi drugi znali.
U svakom slucaju hvala na trudu.

Vidi, kao sto ti je tip odgovorio u drugom forumu, postoji fora u neslaganjo sadasnjeg bootloadera sa tom verzijom programa za upgrade.Ja sam na te fazone nailazio prilikom nadogradnje Arion i Kaon risivera.Kod Ariona sam menjao bootloader a kod Kaona moras da koristis program sa takozvanim Engeneer Patch, koji predje preko blokade risivera i puni ga bilo kojom verzijom softvera.Probaj da uradis DOWNGRADE risivera sa starijom verzijom programa i verzijom Firmwarea 1.30.Posle toga probaj novi program i noviju verziju Patchovanog firmwarea....
