Gotivni su mi samo zbog slickness-a koji im dolazi preinstaliran na gnome-u :D

Hahaha a i moto im je najjaci: Quaid, Open your mind :D

Dosta sale, super su izgleda mi, gentoo based, laksi package management, prilicno su up2date. Ako jos niste nasli distro koji vam odgovara - Sabayon is worth a shot.

Pre bih dao sansu ubuntu ili pclinuxos-u nego ovome,i nema mnogo vajde sto je gentoo based,emerge samo zezne ceo sistem.Probao pre i nisam nesto odusevljen.

Grejna površina:Kuća na sprat 100 m2,podno grejanje,zid i plafon 10cm
stiropor,pod 5cm
stirodur + prizemna kuca 40 m2,radijatori,zid 5cm stiropor,plafon 10cm staklena
vuna + kombinovani bojler 120 litara.I na jednom i drugom objektu
petokomorna pvc stolarija sa duplim staklom punjena argonom.

Mogu oni da izdaju koliko hoće verzija, ali ne mogu nikad da zamene pravi Gentoo.
To je samo surogat. A open Your Mind, to je normalno i bez Sabayona.

Imaju oni svoje greškice, koje niko neće da rešava za njih i ne mogu da traže podršku
od normalne Gentoo podrška koja je dosta dobra, da ne kažem odlična.

Ko hoće da ima binarne pakete za to ima podršku u normalnom Gentoo-u.

To podržava Portage a out of box i Paludis, samo nije dokumentovano još, ali radi.

Takođe i Funtoo radi dobro, sa binarnim paketima, ako kad zatreba.
Mnogo je bliži originalom Gentoo-u, održava ga Daniel Robbins, tvorac Gentoo-a.

A može se lako prebacivati sa Gentoo-a na Funtoo i obrnuto, praktično pri instalaciji Gentoo-a.

Ali naravno binarni paketi mi skoro nikad ne trebaju.

Ono što je meni bitno posto je laptop u pitanju da je temperatura neznatno viša nego na Winu za razliku od Ubuntu gde laptop bukvalno "gori". Rezoluciju po defaultu pronasao uz doduse nebulozbu poruku da hardver nije podrzan. Zvuk je jedino mnogo tiši nego na Ubuntu linuxu i to nisam nasao razlog

I ja sam Sabayon probao pre nekih godinu dana i isto se desilo da se sve zaglupelo kada sam hteo da koristim portage na dalje. I dok je Gentoo based, tada je toliko stvari bilo tweaked, da nisi mogao da pratis Gentoo dokumentaciju/wiki, a na Sabayon wiki i sl, nije bilo nista.

A ustvari me vise nervira sto ne mozes da izaberes tacno koje ces pakate da instaliras prilikom instalacije samog sistema. I onda ti se tu instalira gomila nekih gluposti koje ti nicemu ne sluze - i ne samo sto trose mesto na HD, nego posle i njih trebas da updejtujes. Pa se tako gubi i jedina "prednost" Sabayon-a u odnosu na Gentoo (a mnogo ima mana Sabayon u odnosu na Gentoo) - to sto se brze instalira.

Userspace alati su upravo uleteli i u arch repoe, ne znam samo kako ce ici sa grub-om - da li je patch-ovan ili nije (tj da li vidi btrfs particije, po stage-ovima ne bih rekao da moze grub1 - grub2 mozda). Za sada sam ga ubio u kernelu ali bih mogao da probam posto ionako planiram da se malo poigram sa masinom (sledi reinstalacija uskoro :D).
